15th Sunday in Ordinary Time
Domingo 15 del Tiempo Ordinario
Domingo 15 del Tiempo Ordinario
Jesus summoned the Twelve and began to send them out two by two and gave them authority over unclean spirits. Mk 6:7
En aquel tiempo, llamó Jesús a los Doce, los envió de dos en dos y les dio poder sobre los espíritus inmundos. Mc 6:7
God’s great freedom in giving himself to us represents a challenge and an exhortation to modify our behaviours and our relationships. It is the invitation which Jesus addresses to us today. He calls us not to think according to the categories of ‘friend/enemy’, ‘us/them’, ‘those who are in/those who are out’, ‘mine/yours’, but rather to go beyond, to open our heart in order to be able to recognize God’s presence and action, even in unusual and unpredictable environments that are not part of our circle. May the Virgin Mary, an example of docile openness to God’s surprises, help us to recognize the signs of the Lord’s presence in our midst. (Angelus, 30 September 2018) [www.vaticannews.va/en.html]

PALABRAS DEL SANTO PADRE
Since restrictions are lifted in Oregon by Governor Brown, effective July 1, 2021, St Anne Parish establishes the following protocol for liturgy celebrations and gatherings in our buildings. The protocol will take effect on the weekend of July 10-11, in order to prepare for the changes.
The new guidelines have been approved by Archbishop Sample to replace all previous pandemic protocols established by the Archdiocese. Additionally, effective July 16, 2021, the archbishop rescinds (cancels) “the dispensation from the obligation to attend Holy Mass on Sundays and holy days of obligation.”
Implementation of the new guidelines is left to the prudential judgment of the pastor. “Pastors and their staff are encouraged to foster the life and activities of the parish with renewed enthusiasm. This applies to all faith gatherings and parish activities including sacramental preparation programs, faith formation, bible studies and vacation bible schools.”
1. Masks may be worn but are not required.
2. Liturgical practices:
A. the Precious Blood will not be offered to the faithful.
B. the Sign of Peace will not be exchanged through physical contact.
C. Holy Water fonts will not be available.
3. Cleaning after Masses and gatherings is no longer required.
4. Social gatherings (coffee and donuts) may take place with sensible health precautions. Good ventilation in the gathering spaces is encouraged.
As always, in behalf of our parish staff…thank you for your support and patience. Masses continue to be live streamed on Facebook at St-Anne Parish
Como siempre, en nombre de nuestro personal parroquial… ¡gracias por su apoyo y paciencia! Las Misas se seguirán transmitiendo en vivo por Facebook St-Anne Parish
